My Story
I attended BRHS in Minot, ND. It was in my Junior year when I first heard the Lord speak to me about the priesthood. I did not understand at that time why He was asking me to do something like that. I wanted nothing to do with the priesthood at that time. I thought I already had my life all planned out. I wanted to work at a good job, get married, have a family and live a normal lay person’s life.
God had different plans for me and would not give up so easy. He persevered with me and His call only got stronger. I put it off for seven years and that last year I struggled immensely. I knew what I was suppose to do and yet I found it difficult to say, “Yes Lord, your will be done”. Eventually, I finally let go and gave my life to God. To this day it has been the greatest decision I have ever made. I am filled with such an immense peace and love for Christ that I cannot explain. I now cannot imagine doing anything else with my life, but to serve God and His people. God knew what was best for me; I just needed to get out of the way and let Him take over.
