My Story

I didn't start to seriously consider the seminary until my senior year of high school. During my senior year a joined a group called the Knights of Virtue, which was led by one of the teachers of my high school, Mr. Jerry Richter. Joining this group is what really took my faith the the next level. Prior the my senior year i would have considered myself Catholic for only 52 hours of the year, which was the one hour I spent at mass on Sundays. The group taught me to look at my faith as something more, and it help me realize how important it was.

After my senior year I took a trip to Rome with my classmates from high school. I didn't know it then but i was feeling calling me to the seminary. After getting back i seriously considered entering, but i still didn't fully understand it, so i decided that it was not my time, so I decided to continue with the plan that I already set up, and go to college at North Dakota State University and peruse a career in civil engineering.

After a visit to the St. John Vianney Seminary in April, I was feeling moved to try it out. Through a lot of help from friends and a lot of prayer I finally made the step to apply for the seminary in May 2010.
